By the end of the Course, the objectives are to:
• Understand and communicate the basic anatomy and physiology of the vestibular system and its central connections
• Recognise the key components of a vestibular case history and interpret them in
context
• Understand and complete competent bedside vestibular assessments and apply
results in differential diagnosis
• Appreciate the different therapeutic paradigms including medical, surgical and
vestibular rehabilitation options
• Perform and give rationale for all assessments including vestibular peripheral,
oculomotor and balance and gait
• Understand the basics of vestibular rehabilitation therapy and apply it to cases
• Formulate management plans and competently apply therapeutic techniques
